This week’s tastings

I’ve got two unique events this week, first up is the Brew Fest at Mugshots on Girard Ave. in Brewerytown.  Coffee-infused beers will be served by myself, Yard’s Brewing Company and Worst Brewing.  I decided to go a bit different than the norm with coffee beer and brew a coffee kolsch.  This could be a one-off or a special seasonal depending on how it goes, so come out and give me your feedback!  Special thanks to Brewerytown Living for setting this whole thing up.

Saturday is the Beer Barons in Laurel Hill Cemetery.  This is a celebration of the great brewing culture this city had before prohibition and that people like myself are trying to build back up.  All brews are pre-prohibition styles, I am bringing my popular FBR Cream Ale (named for the Fishtown Beer Runners). There will also be a tour of the cemetery, highlighting the mausoleums of the city’s former brewers.  My friend Sean from Mellody Brewing will also be serving a firkin.
