Laughs on Philly came back to regal our patrons with hi-larious jokes and funny ha-ha’s! It was a blast. We also want to thank City Brew Tours for co-sponsoring the event. This is going to be a quarterly Jawn so if you missed it the first time, don’t sweat it, we will be having them [...]
We’ve been brain storming around the idea of a fixed beer garden for Saint Benjamin for a very long time. So long in fact that during this time, the Sun flower park across the street from our taproom was built. Wow. That would make a pretty great beer garden and events location for Saint Benjamin, [...]
Drag Queens are a fussy lot and are always in need of some me time. While we are at the peak of the dog days of summer, we decided to let the HOT SUGAR review take the month off to get some Jersey Shore time in. These ladies deserve it.
It's the dog days of summer and everyone has been heading for the shore. The ladies of the Broad St. Burlesque are no exception and we are giving them the month off to go get some sun. NO SHOW this month.
While we love seeing the neighborhood grow, we are pretty conflicted at times with what that means. The world famous graffiti wall across the street from us is set to be knocked down and we are pretty heart broken about it. The flavor and beauty it brought to our neighborhood can’t be measured. The All [...]
Oh man, the taproom has gone full tilt fabulous! We had our first edition of HOT SUGAR, the St. Ben’s drag review and it was amazing. (I know we say everything is amazing, but this was really, really amazing.) Mr. Philly Pride 2017, Drag King Molasses Jones hosted a night of gender bending that tore [...]
Wow, just wow. This months edition of the Broad St. Burlesque's De-Brew-Tante Ball was not for the faint of heart. Host Liberty Rose once again knocked her dances out of the ballpark with a new crew of crazy ladies who each out did themselves. Goldi Fox came out in a full Rosi the Robot Costume, complete [...]
Tim sat on a panel at a symposium we hosted for Defend our Future PA to discuss water conservation issues. It’s kinda an important topic for us because, you know, we need water to brew beer. Climate change is real and we feel very strongly about the subject.
Our neighborhood is developing into a really exciting and vibrant place. For the first two weeks of the World Cup, and then selected games after, we will be selling beer at Usaquén, the amazing Columbian Cafe that opened down the street. So much fun! Gooooaaaaaaaaaaaaal!
For Philly Beer Week, we teamed up with City Beer Tours for our Beers with Ben! First we did a brewing colab and rolled out our pre-prohibition Pitch Porter. Then we used sorcery and forbidden brewing technology to raise the corpse of Ben Franklin! He gave two sold out tours to guests on the history [...]
