Hopligation IPA Release Party This Friday!

We’ve spent 6 months working on it and now we have it available for everyone to drink! Our Hopligation IPA is an East Coast style IPA. What that means is you get a lot of bitterness up front followed by a malt backbone to complement with the citrus and earthy flavors from the hops. We are releasing it this Friday at 7PM at Bottle Bar East in Fishtown.

Philly Beer Week Events Part 2

Happy Hour Meet the Brewers at Local 44 – Wednesday June 3rd

Come meet the brewing team from Saint Benjamin Brewing Company and Manayunk Brewery. Beers from both breweries will be showcased. Happy hour runs from 5-7pm. Local 44 is located in West Philly.

Tap Takeover at Tir Na Nog – Thursday June 4th

Tir Na Nog will be hosting a tap takeover, serving up the Koffee Kolsch, Troubleshooter #6 Pale Ale, our newly released Wit or Witout and he collaboration beer created with Manayunk Brewery, Building Bridges. Start time TBA. Tir Na Nog is located in the Phoenix building in Center City.

Coloring With Craft at South Philadelphia Tap Room – Thursday June 4th

We have Saint Benjamin Brewing Company themed coloring pages made up by a local artist, Mark Robinson. We have crayons, and South Philadelphia Tap Room will have a whole lot of Saint Benjamin beer. Come join our team for a Saint Benjamin themed happy hour and a return to your childhood…errrmmm…your childhood plus beer. Event is 4-7pm.

Ice Cream and Beer at Little Baby’s Ice Cream – Friday June 5th

Little Baby’s Ice Cream has created a lavender and pepper corn ice cream inspired by our Liaison Saison. We will be handing out free samples of the Liaison Saison on the first Friday during beer week. Come try Little Baby’s new flavor and the Liaison.

Saint Benjamin Brewery Tours – Saturday June 6th

We will be hosting tours again at our brewery. As usual, free samples will be served and growlers and kegs will be for sale. Tours start at noon and run till 3pm, with our doors open until 4 for sampling.

The Ladies Beer Tea at The Belgian Cafe – Saturday June 6th

The Ladies Beer Tea returns! the premiere Beer Week event for Ladies only. It’s High Tea but with beer – four beer courses paired with three High Tea Food courses – savories, tea sandwiches and sweets. Join us! Wear your High Tea Hat!! bring friends. Tickets are only $27. This event begins at 2:30PM and ends at 4, so be on time!

Front Stoop Lounging #3 at The Grey Lodge – Saturday June 6th

Join us, Naked Brewing and Free Will for some beers and convo out in front of the Grey Lodge in Northeast Philly. We will be hanging out from 8-11pm and the Lodge will have out Little Peat Stout and Wit or Witout on draft.

Philly Beer Week Events Part 1

We have a ton of events planned for our first full Philly Beer Week! We hope everyone can make something over the next week and a half.

Hammer of Glory Relay – Friday, May 29th

Saint Benjamin Brewing Company will be the 9th stop on the Hammer O’Glory relay. Guests are welcome to arrive as early as 11:45 to watch the HOG arrive and then depart again with Tim Patton on horse drawn beer cart to Philadelphia Brewing Co. We are located at 1701 N 5th St. 19122.

Opening Tap – Friday, May 29th

Join us and dozens of other breweries at PBW’s Opening Tap. We will be tapping several of our beers including Building Bridges, our special Belgian collaboration with Manayunk Brewing Co. Event is at the 23rd St Armory and runs from 7-10 with a VIP hour at 6pm.

it’s a FiRKiN RiOT! – Saturday, May 30th

Johnny Brenda’s in Fishtown is hosting a whole day of firkin tapping starting at 11am. A special version of our Building Bridges collaboration will be on tap, aged on juniper berries.

Great Beer Expo – Saturday May 30th

The Great Beer Expo at the Philly Navy Yard is a huge beer fest with over 50 breweries, including us! Samples dozens of beers and then take a leisurely subway ride home. Event runs 1:30-5pm with a VIP session at 12:30

Superstar Kegs and Eggs at Eulogy Belgian Tavern – Sunday May 31st

Eulogy is upgrading their normal brunch with the finest stouts and porters int he world, including our Little Peat Stout. There will be rare bottles and drafts as well. Reservations are recommended, brunch runs from 11-5. Eulogy is located in Old City.

Saison du Jour Tap Takeover at WinWin Coffee Bar – Sunday May 31st

The good folks at W/n W/n love saison. They have decided to share that love with all of you by bringing in every Saison du Jour Saint Benjamin Brewing Company has made to date. That will be the orange blossom inspired Saison du Jour I. The straight forward and slightly fruity Saison du Jour II, Saison du Jour III (the “naked” Liaison), Saison du Jour IV, a rye saison, the about to be released hoppy Saison du Jour V and the ever present Liaison Saison.

Come join us for the evening starting at 5pm.

Girl Power Happy Hour at Bar-ly Chinatown – Sunday May 31st

Celebrate women in beer and women who love beer! There will be 12+ women beer reps and over 60 taps, you will definitely be in great company. This is our first event in Philly, so let’s show ’em Jersey Strong!

BarLy is located in Chinatown near Reading Terminal Market, easily accessible by Patco (Amie will be hopping on at the Woodcrest station). This is a public event, so it’s co-ed but the GPO table will be ladies only (guys can mingle on the outskirts). Event is 6-9pm.

Beer and Food Pairing at Bierstube – Monday June 1st

Bierstube German Biergarten will be pairing their delicious food with our Le Bon Bock, Koffee Kolsch, Inca, and Liaison Saison. Event starts at 5pm.

Beer Pouring at the Shambles Beer Garden – Monday June 1st

Philly Beer Weeks’ official beer garden is in Headhouse Square this year and on Monday night they are focusing on the independently distributed breweries of Philadelphia, including us! We will be pouring two of our beers from 5pm on. Event is pay as you go.

Kingpin at Standard Tap – Tuesday June 2nd

6pm until someone wins. 12 of your favorite local breweries (including Saint Benjamin!) compete to see whose pin will be the first to kick. The winner will be crowned KINGPIN!

Building Bridges Collaboration Party – Tuesday June 2nd

Saint Benjamin Brewing Company and Manayunk Brewery brewed a Belgian Pale Collaboration Ale called Building Bridges. We will be having a collaboration party at Johnny Brenda’s to celebrate. Come hang out with the guys and gals of Manayunk and Saint Ben. Multiple beers for each brewery will be on tap.
