Beer Week is here and even though the brewery isn’t open yet, we have plenty of events and tastings.
Sunday the 3rd is a double-header. Even better, both events are free tastings of our homebrew, though the bars wouldn’t mind if you got some food while you were there.
From 11-2pm, we will be serving my Kolsch and Transcontinental ales during brunch at the Royal Tavern in South Philly.
If you are a late-riser, then come out that evening to Interstate Draft House in Fishtown where we will be pouring Dubbel Galore, my Belgian Dubbel from 4-7pm.
Memphis Taproom is hosting a Home Brew Beer Fest the afternoon of Saturday the 9th. Join St. Benjamin and several great area homebrewers and other up and coming nanobrewers in the Memphis Taproom Beer Garden. Tickets are available through the Memphis Taproom or Barry’s Homebrew. We’re bringing Transcontinental and Wit or Witout, our two signature beers. Our friends from Barry’s, Mellody Brewing and Bombshell Brewing will bring beers too.
This isn’t an official Beer Week event, but it is taking place at the same time. So for all of my Fishtown Beer Runner friends, a keg of my FBR Cream Ale will be on tap at the Beer Runners Ball on Saturday, June 2nd. Cream Ale gets a bad rap these days, but before prohibition it was a standard American style and can be quite smooth and refreshing. Not all corn beer is cheap 🙂
As a finally note, work is slowly moving forward on the brewery building. With any luck, we will be open for production by the end of the summer or early fall. Expect tours and tastings to commence shortly after that.
